Memorial Tribute
A GRACEFUL MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO 9/11
SHANNON GRACE A BIG HIT
WITH NEW YORK MICHAEL BLOOMBERG
It wasn’t election time
Democrats and Republicans gathering at Brooklyn’s 69th Street Veterans
Memorial Pier for the fourth observance of the USA’s greatest homeland
tragedy, 9/11, but Americans first, New Yorkers second, and a large band
of brothers-and-sisters-in-spirit who came out for this special
patriotic musical tribute to those who perished on the fateful day.

| Sponsored
by New York State Senator Marty Golden, the ceremony was praiseworthy in
its formal remembrance of America’s armed forces, beginning with a
color guard and a twenty-one gun salute--and all set against the
magnificent backdrop of the New York harbor and the Statue of Liberty. |

Backed
by the music virtuoso Ray Naccari and his celebrated combo, the ever
captivating KEF Records star Shannon Grace began the program singing the
national anthem. Later, while guest speaker Mayor Michael Bloomberg--who
daily oversees the affairs of 8 million New Yorkers--only had eyes for
Shannon as she sang the sensitive and deeply moving “Towers in the
Sky.” The audience was visibly touched by this magical ballad,
especially when Shannon looked and pointed to where the Towers once
stood. |

Mayor Bloomberg, sitting
close by, was quite caught up in Shannon’s poetic and beautiful
tribute; listening attentively to every word of this remarkable song
that is fast becoming the leading and most listened to musical memorial
in America to 9/11.
Afterwards, Mayor
Bloomberg and Senator Golden met with Shannon to express their
appreciation and admiration for her performance, and to help celebrate
the release of her new KEF Records album, “Soul Mate.”
